Oppo R7 Plus Unboxing: "Huge" first impression

Our recent trip to Beijing gave us some quality time with the Oppo R7 that was closer to a launch at the time, but for most of us, the biggest news were really about its larger sibling, the Oppo R7 Plus that just arrived for review. This is not the average "Plus" version of a smaller phone where all you're really getting is a larger phone. Oppo has given the R7 Plus a couple of extra features that make this device truly superior to the smaller phone we already reviewed.
To provide some context, keep in mind that even though the Oppo R lineup is considered a premium mid-ranger by many, probably due to what you read on the spec sheet, that's not really what we've experienced in our time with these devices. I have to admit that my thoughts on the Oppo R7 were of a pleasant surprise, up to the point where it still is my daily driver. We have these same expectations for this larger Oppo R7 Plus, but let's not forget that our review period is just getting started.
