Hey everyone I hope youre doing great and Welcome to todays Camera Shorts where we go over the big camera news in a short time. And of course if you like this new series make sure to leave a thumbs up.
First up today, Panasonic have just released their brand new Panasonic LX100 Mark ii camera, coming in at just under a thousand dollars.
Now you probably remember the Panasonic LX100 Mark i, the original camera and i was a big fan of it, considering it's size and form it was really great little camera.
The new Panasonic LX100 Mark ii sports 17mp four thirds sensor and has a 24-75mm built in lens.
Now you guys I'm a big fan of smaller panasonic cameras, in fact I've used teh Panasonic gM1 for a number of years, but the difference here is that you've got a built in lens.
For some people, this is going to be great.
We've of course also got 4k video in the Panasonic LX100 Mark ii and with a 1.7 to 2.8 lens, this could be a great little pocket vlogging or b-roll camera.
With that wide aperture in the Panasonic LX100 Mark ii, even though this camera is really quite, you can actually get some really shallow depth of field shots, as seen in the video that Panasonic released.
A few other things I really like with this Panasonic LX100 Mark ii is the new usb charging option, pretty much every camera should have this i feel.
We've got a sweet touch screen on the back which always speeds up things and overall having a larger grip definitely is a nice touch.
Now coming in at $1000, this camera's definitely in the more expensive bracket for pocket sized cameras and is definitely in direct competition with the likes of the Sony rx100 line.
Sony just came out with their rx100 mark 6, so it's going ot be interesting to see which one overall is the better performer.
Let me know in the comments below, which camera would you choose, the Panasonic LX100 Mark ii or the Sony RX100 Mark 6.
