Personal Antivirus Market Statistics

You may have heard of #AntivirusSoftware, but how much do you really know about it in terms of the market? In this video, I’m going over our latest #Antivirus research, from awareness to usage. We found that 91 percent of American households are aware of antivirus software, and another 52 percent have it installed for personal use. That means that 45 million households in the U.S alone use personal antivirus software, a pretty significant number. And, when you factor in the annual costs of personal antivirus software, which averages $40 a year, we’re talking about a $1.8 billion industry (and that’s not even counting business users!). Plus, with nine percent of our respondents saying that they plan to buy antivirus software in the next six months, it’s clear that the #AntivirusMarket isn’t slowing down anytime soon.
