Chen Qiufan (a.k.a. Stanley Chan) is a Chinese fiction author, translator, and curator. He is best known for his stylistic combination of SF realism and new wave. His works have been translated into many languages and he is the recipient of multiple national and international awards. His work includes “Waste Tide", “Future Diseases” and “The Algorithms for Life". Quifan previously worked for Google, Baidu, and VR/Mocap leading startup Noitom Technology, for over ten years. He is now running his own studio Thema Mundi, in which he develops Sci-fi related content.
Qiufan, with his 2019 reprinted “Waste Tide” and new work “The Algorithms for Life”, returns to Google for a dialogue with Googlers on technology and humanity.
