Year 7 of Rainbow Six Siege is in full swing, kicking off with Season 1: Demon Veil and its architect operator Azami joining the roster, but that was just the tip of the iceberg for what the development team behind the game has in store.
IGN sat down with Alexander Karpazis, the game's creative director, to get some insight into what players should keep an eye out for in this new year of Siege.
Siege is implementing tons of new content for both new and returning players in year 7! For newcomers, the addition of a Shooting Range, Operator Guides, Team Deathmatch, and a rotating Arcade Mode will be a huge help to get acquainted with the operators, weapons, and maps. While returning players can look forward to meta updates, new maps in the TDM and competitive playlists, and changes to operators like Rook, Nokk, Zero, and Thatcher.
Plus, with cross-play and cross-progression coming later this year, it means players will have the flexibility to bring their skills, progression, and friendslist with them no matter where they play.
