The first rumor that keeps floating around is that Samsung is going to be bandwagon-ing onto the whole fingerprint reader fad. While this isn't the most interesting rumor, it's definitely the one that seems to creep up the most so far. An even farther-fetched -- but also persistent -- rumor is that Samsung is going to instead use an iris scanner, using your eye as the biometric authorization tool. Your eye is, after all, much more unique and harder to fake than your fingerprint. Skeptics have been quick to point out the technical limitations of implementing an iris scanner, suggesting that even if Samsung is working on such a thing, it's probably still a few years out. To do so would probably mean including a second camera on the front of the phone to be accurate and reliable enough for authentication.
