ŠKODA 1100 OHC Coupé: a racing car painstakingly reconstructed

› Two copies of the ŠKODA 1100 OHC Coupé were built in 1959/1960
› Further development of the streamlined coupé design and lower weight (555 kg) a testament to the ŠKODA team’s high level of technical expertise
› Traditional manufacturing techniques were combined with cutting-edge technologies at ŠKODA AUTO’s Prototype Centre to reconstruct the vehicle according to historical documentation
› ŠKODA 1100 OHC Coupé (1959) complements the open-bodied version of the vehicle from 1957 in the ŠKODA Museum collection. Mladá Boleslav, 7 February 2022 – To mark the 120th anniversary of ŠKODA Motorsport, employees from the ŠKODA Museum and ŠKODA AUTO’s Prototype Centre collaborated on a project to reconstruct the ŠKODA 1100 OHC Coupé racing car. The teams began by reconditioning the original frame, chassis and engine and rebuilt the body according to historical documentation. In the process, they used state-of-the-art technology as well as traditional techniques in body construction.
