Smart characterizes the roof, rear window and doors as "unnecessary ballast" so they decided not to fit them on the compact fourjoy concept which is 3494mm long, 1978mm wide and 1494mm tall. The four-seater's design draws its inspiration from the for-us and Forstars concepts seen last year, along with a pronounced aluminum tridion cell and glass-less headlamps with built-in LED daytime running lights.

The interior cabin sends out a roomy vibe and comes with futuristic front seats and an equally modern rear bench. The dashboard adopts an interesting honeycomb structure while the solid instrument panel support is made from illuminated and transparent Plexiglas into which apertures have been milled.
