The Sony FE 12-24mm f/2.8 G Master is a new, large aperture, pro grade, ultra-wide angle zoom lens. This is the latest pro-grade zoom lens in Sony's lineup. The lens features a minimum focusing distance of 11 inches, and weighs in at 1lb 14oz.

The impressive component in this lens is the XA front element. This is a very specific design that allows for a smaller and lighter lens, while maintaining superior optical quality across the entire zoom range. Sony have developed a new coating specifically for this element, Nano II - which eliminates almost all ghosting and flare issues. The lens also features 4 XA linear motors for impressively accurate and silent autofocus.

The lens is impressive for shooting architecture and landscapes. But its also amazing for low light and even environmental portraits. This is a truly versatile lens that expands Sony's professional zoom lineup. Its no longer just the Holy Trinity.
