A: The rear-wheel-drive Carrera S and all-wheel-drive Carrera 4S will carry a 3.0-liter flat-six turbo engine with 443 horsepower, a 23-hp boost over the previous motor. The 911 will also get a new eight-speed PDK automatic transmission, with a seven-speed manual to follow.

A: Porsche says the S will cover 0-60 mph in just 3.5 seconds, 0.4 second quicker than the previous-generation car. The 4S, with its all-wheel-drive traction, should do the deed in 3.4 seconds.
