The Batman movie fans everywhere were surprised when a deleted scene from the movie was released that featured and revealed actor Barry Keoghan’s villainous role in the film as the Clown Prince of Crime. In the 5 minute clip, Batman is seen meeting with The Joker in a very Silence of the Lambs-like interview, with the villain’s face either blurred behind the glass or framed in an extreme close-up. While The Joker’s face was never fully revealed, there was enough shown for the Internet to do what it does best, and recreate a high-res image of director Matt Reeves’ depiction of Batman’s most infamous villain. Artist Aaron Bailey pieced together the image of #TheBatman movie’s version of Keoghan’s Joker, digitally cleaning up what we saw in the deleted scene and upscaling the image. From there, content creator Matt Ramos lightened up the image providing us with an even clearer picture of Matt Reeves’ take on The Joker. As for why The Joker looks the way he does in The Batman, Matt Reeves talked to us here at IGN, describing the look as something closer to The Elephant Man given Reeves love for David Lynch and his thought was, “Well, maybe there's something here where it's not something where he fell in a vat of chemicals or it's not the [Christopher] Nolan thing where he has these scars and we don't know where they came from. What if this is something that he's been touched by from birth and that he has a congenital disease that refuses to let him stop smiling? And he's had this very dark reaction to it, and he's had to spend a life of people looking at him in a certain way and he knows how to get into your head.” In other news, Black Panther 2 has finally wrapped film production. And finally, Sonic and Knuckles go head to head in a new teaser Paramount has released for Sonic 2.
