The Super Bowl shuffle of air dates for HBO’s The Last of Us sees the hit series moving to Friday on HBO Max. #TheLastofUs has had some competition as of late, going up against the Grammys and soon the Oscars, and now it’s making sure to get out of the way of Sunday’s Super Bowl. Those views for The Last of Us have only gone up week-to-week. It could be word-of-mouth, with fans obviously leading the charge in watching and recommending it to others. But strong performance aside, The Last of Us would be crazy to air alongside the Superbowl, which saw over 99 million viewers in 2022. Smart move to get out of the way of that long-running televised event. #HBO knows it has a hit series with The Last of Us, and it wants to make sure it maintains viewership as the weeks progress. In other entertainment news, Amazon Prime Video is taking a swing at Spider-Man with a live-action series based on Spider-Man Noir. And finally, get a load of the Fast X trailer!
