Here is an interesting touristic destination 8 kilometers away from the centrum of Avyalık. This strange place is located on a high hill and has a magnificent view. Green islands and peninsulas are in front of you. You can imagine that blue and green are dancing here. On the left, Lesbos greets you in all its glory. The reason why this place is called "Devil's Feast" is that this high hill remains like a table after volcanic eruptions and a volcanic residue located there is assumed to be the devil's footprint. The foot-shaped area is surrounded and people leave coins here. There are also a few cafes here. Parking is chargeable but you can leave your car at the roadside before entering the area.

Of course, a mythological story is also mentioned for the trace here. According to the legend, Ida, the foster mother the god Zeus expels the Lucifer from here, in order to protect Zeus. It is believed that this Lucifer, three-legged, left traces while he was running away and one of these traces was the one standing here. The other two footprints are on the skirts Mount Ida, and Lesbos.
According to another legend, in the 1500s these regions were under the rule of the Ottoman Empire and a large number of Greeks lived there. One of these Greek people, Penelope, was expelled from the church and escaped to this point and started living here. Penelope was considered as the reason for the drought that has ravaged the region for a year and the people came here to lynch it. Penelope, who was aware of the situation, established an excellent meal table for the incoming people. While these people had their meals with the grandeur of the table, Penelope was able to run away. For this reason, here is called as the "Devil's Feast".
