These Actors Should Stop Phoning It In | Top 10

Let me take a wild guess – were it not for Robert De Niro, you wouldn’t have any interest in seeing The Intern (in theaters September 25) whatsoever. While trailers for the rom-ish-com make the film look relatively promising, it’s hard not to get the “why-De Niro-why” feels each second the acclaimed actor appears on screen. While starring in The Intern may not seem like a step in the best direction for Bob (who I’m certain would not be too jazzed about me referring to him as such), it’s important to remember that he’s in very capable hands here – with veteran director Nancy Meyers at the helm of this project, it couldn’t be all that miserable, could it?

Even if The Intern turns out to be a travesty, it probably won’t be quite as bad as these intensely awful films featuring amazing actors who deserved much, much better.
