Mortal Kombat HBO Max gives a slick update to the Mortal Kombat lore we’ve known from the legendary Mortal Kombat game universe and jus like always, Shang Tsung is up to no good. Plus if you were hoping to hear that classic Mortal Kombat theme song, you’re in luck because it’s in here. Thing is, there’s no actual tournament in this movie, so you watched the Mortal Kombat trailer and were thinking otherwise, we’re hear to set you right. So who is fighting in the next tournament? The Mortal Kombat movie pays homage to the classic Mortal Kombat lore from games like Mortal Kombat 11 and Mortal Kombat X. Of course, MK fans want to know about the Mortal Kombat fatalities and the Mortal Kombat kill count, which of course means lots of Mortal Kombat deaths. Mortal Kombat 2021 definitely includes one fatality, actually that’s not true. It includes many fatalities and if you’ve ever watched a Mortal Kombat scene or even a Mortal Kombat opening scene, you know what the deal is when it’s time for a Mortal Kombat fatality. Mortal Kombat characters like Scorpion, Sub-Zero, Kung Lao, Sonya Blade, Liu Kang and Goro are truly the new rockstars of the movie world after Mortal Kombat move debuted on HBO Max, but they certainly don’t think of Shang Tsung’s plan as any kind of emergency.
