There was a time when Google launched a program that felt like sort of a case study. All of you might remember it as the Nexus. It first began as a showcase of hardware and software with the Nexus One, my first ever Android phone, which later evolved stretching the boundaries of design offerings from Samsung, and that later took a step back and defined the flagship killer concept companies like OnePlus are famous for today. You'd think that formula was successful enough, but no, it was shelved for a return to its roots.

And see, the Pixel was a different animal. It was all about a premium phone, a great camera, and a price to match. This was more a product to compete with the Galaxies and iPhones, and didn't necessarily succeed in the process. The Pixel 3 was a great camera with a mediocre phone, and as a result, it didn't sell well at all.

The aftermath is that usually companies will discount the failed products heavily, but not Google. Instead we got this… This is the Pixel 3a, a far less expensive iteration of the flagship that's actually far better than even I expected. I'm Jaime Rivera with Pocketnwo and let me explain to you why you should care.
