Meet Ahsan Aman, a GDSC Lead in Pakistan. Before moving to Islamabad to pursue his dream in technology, his family fell victim to fraud due to the lack of tools to determine if a banknote is real or fake. To prevent this from happening to other families and businesses, he created 5 Hazar, a mobile app that detects counterfeit money by allowing users to scan banknotes. 5 Hazar uses digital image processing and deep learning algorithms to determine if the money is genuine or forged.
