Volkswagen India is in no mood to continue selling made-for-india products, they want to instead focus on premium offerings. Discontinuation of Ameo is part of the same plan. As part of Volkswagen Group 2.0 strategy, Skoda India will be at the forefront of VW Group'd India operations, and thus will focus on mass-segment products.
