And over the last 80 years, Volvo Trucks has been responsible for a long list of safety innovations. Most famously, Volvo Trucks invented the three-point seatbelt. In 1974, the first Volvo truck with safety belts as standard equipment was delivered to the US. It continues to be standard on every Volvo truck.
