Hello, everyone! Welcome to our channel. In today’s video Smart is the New Sexy will tell you about the most curious and powerful thing in the universe - the explosion of the stars.

Some people believe that the Big Bang was initially a very small but very dense star that exploded and now everything that surrounds us in space is the remains of that star. There are trillions of stars in the world. Our galaxy, the Milky Way, is a barred spiral galaxy, about 100,000 light-years across. It is surrounded by an enormous halo of hot gas that extends for hundreds of thousands of light-years. The Milky Way contains over 200 billion stars, and enough dust and gas to make billions more. New stars are constantly formed within the arms. To be clear, the actual number of stars in the Milky Way is subject to some dispute.

What is even more astounding is the notion that the majority of these stars have their own system of planets. Doing the math, we can then say that the Milky Way galaxy has between 800 billion and 3.2 trillion planets!

What would happen if all these stars exploded?
