Atomfall may well be the most British game ever made. You could call it Fallout: England, but that doesn't really do it justice: its influences are like a core sample of Britain's cultural bedrock, drawing on everything from ancient Celtic myths to Doctor Who. Cornish folk tales. Rationing. The very real Windscale nuclear disaster, the aftermath of which is still being dealt with today.
With authentic accents, and the correct usage of "'owt" and "nowt"! It's a far cry from the Dick Van Dyke London of Watch Dogs: Legion. Here's 8 reasons why Atomfall isn't Fallout England, but it is the most British game ever made.

Atomfall is the latest game from Rebellion, the studio behind the Sniper Elite series, which also owns a large number of British cultural institutions through their acquisition of Fleetway Publications. It's probably no surprise that the owners of Roy of the Rovers and Judge Dredd have a decent working knowledge of British cultural norms, like tea drinking and casual violence.
