Number 10 -- As of 2010, the company has sold over 282 million sandwiches. Breaking it down, that total equates to 537 sandwiches per minute, or if you want to be really precise, 9 per second.

Number 9 -- The Chick-fil-A cow is a force to be reckoned with on social media. Even the non-talking cow has over 770 thousand likes on its Facebook page.

Number 8 -- For many fans, it's hard to imagine having a Chick-fil-A sandwich without their famous pickles? The ntricate process behind preparing them involves the cucumber slices being soaked for three whole days as a way to ripen them.


Number 7 -- Chick-fil-A founder Truett Cathy has always been a motivated individual. He started out his career at age 8 selling soft drinks. He then branched into magazine sales before starting his own route at 12.


Number 6 -- In both 2012 and 2013, Chick-fil-A was deemed the No. 1 chicken chain in the U.S., beating out fast food rival KFC. That's a very impressive feat, as Chick-fil-A has less than half the locations of KFC yet still managed to take in over $5 billion in comparison to KFC's $4.2 billion in 2013.

Number 5 - Chick-fil-A is big on keeping their employees happy. The chain is closed on Sundays due to Truett Cathy's belief that staffers need to rest, spend time with family and go to church if they choose.

Number 4 - Chick-fil-A thrives on controversy, or so it would seem. In 2012, the company was under scrutiny after president Dan Cathy said he is against gay marriage. Despite the bad PR, the company got a big boost in sales, reaching $4.6 billion which is 14 percent higher than what they took in the previous year.

Number 3 -- Richard Coley from St. Petersburg loves the chain's food so much, he travels across the country, just to stand in line for the opening of new restaurants. In November of 2013, he made it his 110th opening of a Chick-fil-A.


Number 2 -- Republicans take a liking to Chick-fil-A ...big time. Findings from consumer research firm, YouGov Brand Index, revealed that the chicken chain landed the number 4 spot for Republicans' favored brands in 2012. Democrats weren't big fans, given that the company was listed as number 1,076.
