In the talk “Being Human in a Corporate World” Gareth will take us through how human behaviour is conditioned within corporate cultures, and how thoroughly decent, normal, ethical people come to adopt unconscious survival habits that co-create cultures of fear. Gareth will introduce us to the Corporapath, the Corporate Hostage and to CTSD – Corporate Traumatic Stress Disorder, the scourge of the 21st century workplace. There will also be time for your questions afterwards, and the first 16 Googlers in the room will each receive a signed copy of Gareth’s book “Corporate Emotional Intelligence: Being Human in a Corporate World”, shortlisted for the Business Book of the Year 2019.

Gareth Chick’s 40 year corporate career has included hugely successful spells as CFO, CEO and Chairman in both public and private sectors, including private equity. Uniquely Gareth combined all of this with a part time career as a leadership consultant and trainer, researching psychology, neuroscience and psychotherapy to create leadership and coaching programmes now used by many global corporations.
