Here are 10 of this year’s most controversial costumes.

Halloween brings out many mischievous ghosts and goblins, but the holiday also sparks the imaginations of those looking to start a different kind of trouble.
Here are 10 of this year’s most controversial costumes.
Number 10. Cecil the Lion. Halloween is rife with sexy versions of otherwise not at all alluring things, and this year that unfortunately extends to the beloved slain lion. The company selling the skimpy crushed velvet romper does promise to send some of the proceeds to a conservation-promoting organization.
Number 9. Dentist who killed Cecil the Lion. The ensemble comes complete with a blood-splattered lab coat and disembodied lion head. While duos of holiday revelers could pair the getup with the aforementioned lion costume, it would be among the most disturbing couples costumes ever.
Number 8. Decathlon Track Star. The set is pretty straightforward – tank, shorts, and a medal, and when standing alone is not too bad. However, the outfit makes a much stronger statement when worn alongside…
Number 7. The Caitlyn Corset & Wig Set. Partygoers and grown trick-or-treaters alike can channel the glamour of Caitlyn Jenner’s Vanity Fair cover. While the package includes the hairdo and lingerie, those who want to really sell the look will have to figure everything else out on their own.
Number 6. Donna T. Rumpshaker. This presidential candidate is also committed to 'Making America Great,' and apparently booty shorts figure prominently in the plan. What is unclear is if the cutting commentary implicit in the female-objectifying, tiny, Trump-like clothing was intentional.
Number 5. Little Amigo. This child-sized shirt, sombrero, and mustache set turned up on the Walmart website, but the costume didn’t stay there for long. The many people who opposed it voiced their opinions on social media, resulting in the company removing the item and issuing an apology.
Number 4. ‘Dorothea Dix Psych Ward’ Patient. When these bloody scrubs emblazoned with the name of a now defunct North Carolina mental health facility appeared, many were none too pleased. Noted one advocate, "It makes people who have mental illness look like criminals."
Number 3. Cecil’s Revenge. PETA is offering its own take on the incredibly popular costume theme. Theirs features a lion mauling a dentist who happens to be wearing a Dr. Palmer name tag. Suggested accessories include a toothbrush and a toy crossbow. Trophy-hunting dental professionals everywhere will no doubt be appalled.
Number 2. Sexy Cop for Toddlers. The male version of the Party City police officer includes pants, a shirt and tie, and a gun holster. The one for female children involves a dress, fingerless gloves, and a pair of handcuffs, which the model dangles her finger. A scathing open letter penned by a horrified parent has gone viral.
Number 1. Foxy Megyn Bloody Tampon Costume. Not long ago, Donald Trump speculated that Fox anchor Megyn Kelly was menstruating when she asked him a question he didn’t like. The incident has seemingly not affected Trump’s popularity, even though the nastiness of the comment lingers.
Which costume do you think will prove to be the year’s most controversial?
