The new model comes with the typical AMG tweaks in terms of styling, such as the more aggressive bumpers, beefier side sills, larger 19-inch alloy wheels and a quad exhaust setup which all provide the car with a meaner look but it still looks more tamed than it should.

Its heart and soul is an updated Euro 6-compliant twin-turbo V8 5.5-liter engine delivering 585 bhp (436 kW) and 900 Nm (664 lb-ft). The direct-injected gasoline engine has Piezo injectors and an all-aluminum crankcase with four valves per cylinder (with camshaft adjustment). This mill is built with an air-to-water intercooler and comes with an ECO start/stop function. It works together with a seven-speed AMG SPEEDSHIFT MCT sports transmission offering three modes: "C" (Controlled Efficiency), "S" (Sport) and "M" (Manual).
