New Vauxhall Vivaro to get electric power in 2020
Electric Vauxhall Vivaro van coming in 2020, as British brand plans electrified overhaul of its range
Vauxhall has revealed its new Vivaro van for the first time, confirming that a pure-electric variant will go on sale in 2020.

It follows confirmation that the next-generation of the Mokka X small family SUV will also be made available with electric power when it enters production next year.

Last year, the British brand revealed further details of the upcoming plug-in hybrid version of its larger Grandland X SUV, too. A total power output of 296bhp is promised, along with what the manufacturer is calling 'e-All-Wheel-Drive' four-wheel-drive capability.
The Grandland X hybrid will arrive in 2019, along with a fully electric version of the Vauxhall Corsa supermini. We've driven Vauxhall's GT X experimental prototype, which showcases the electric drivetrain that'll power the 'eCorsa'.

Vauxhall plans to offer an electrified version of every model in its range by 2025, and its electrification will happen in tandem with fellow PSA Group brands Citroen, Peugeot and DS.

The Grandland X PHEV shares much under the metal with the upcoming DS 7 Crossback E-Tense and Peugeot 3008 PHEV SUVs, while the eCorsa powertrain will also be found in the DS 3 Crossback E-Tense and an electrified version of the next-generation Peugeot 208.
