The 2025 718 Spyder RS features an exclusive manually operated soft top specially designed for weight reduction. The soft top comprises two detachable components: a sun shield and a weather protector. Both parts can be easily stored within the vehicle when not in use. The lightweight single-layer Spyder soft top can be utilized with just the sun shield, providing shade for the driver and passenger while leaving the passenger compartment open to the sides and rear. This design enhances the open-air driving experience while maintaining a sense of freedom for the occupants.
Sharing the illustrious 4.0-liter six-cylinder from the 911 GT3 and 718 Cayman GT4 RS, the car produces 493 horsepower and 331 pound-feet of torque, mated exclusively to a 7-speed Porsche Doppelkupplung (PDK) transmission. This advanced transmission system enables drivers to shift gears effortlessly with the help of convenient gearshift paddles mounted on the steering wheel, allowing them to maintain control without having to take their hands off the wheel.
