The Corolla Cross is an SUV counterpart to the enduring Corolla sedan. Though it sits higher and offers more cargo space and all-wheel drive, the Corolla Cross fills a similar niche. It is a value-minded option in a highly diverse and wildly popular segment. Though there is a hybrid version, the gas-powered Corolla Cross offers a single engine, a 2.0-liter four-cylinder good for 169 horsepower. It's linked to a continuously variable automatic transmission in both the front- and all-wheel-drive versions.
Since its introduction in 2022 the Corolla Cross hasn't seen significant changes, so it's possible a revision will come for 2025. Toyota did introduce a revised Corolla Cross in other markets in 2024, making it more likely that an updated version will come to North America in 2025. Changes include a revised front fascia with a grille that's integrated into the body. The leading edge of the hood is also body-colored and the headlights are a more shapely design with integrated sequentially illuminating turn signals. The new interior includes a digital instrument cluster and a larger infotainment screen. But we won't know for sure if these changes are coming to the U.S.-market Corolla Cross until Toyota reveals the 2025 model later this year.
