It’s time for a JDM showdown!
We’ve got the almighty Nissan GT-R NISMO going up against… A GR Yaris?!
But wait! This is no normal GR. Just wait until you see the stats.
The regular GR Yaris can produce 261hp and 360Nm from its 1.6-litre 3-cylinder engine. However, this edition rolls up with a fully built engine that produces a ridiculous 630hp and 430Nm of torque. This power is sent to all four wheels via a 7-speed sequential manual gearbox, and almost every aspect of the car has been modded and upgraded! It doesn’t come cheap though - all in it costs an eye-watering £130,000!
Then we have the Nissan. Unlike the Yaris, it’s completely stock, which means it’s powered by a 3.8-litre twin-turbo V6 that will produce 600hp & 652Nm. Naturally, it’s heavier than the Yaris, weighing in at 1,725kg compared to 1,280kg, and when it was new it cost around £125,000.
So the Yaris is slightly up on power, but will the crazy amount of mods & upgrades all work as they’re meant to?! There’s only one way to find out for sure… LET’S RACE!
