Canon EOS R5 :: Specs RELEASED for the new flagship successor to the R

Today Canon had a second development with some impressive specs to the EOS R5. To say there are major video improvements would be an understatement. This camera literally out-specs any mirrorless offering on the market. We get 8k, full pixel readout in both RAW and log formats up to 30p. We also get 4k at up to 120fps with full data readout as well. Dual Pixel AF is available in both formats with no image cropping. And you get 10-bit 4:2:2 video… and there's more.

While we still don't have a complete picture of what this camera will be. We can tell from this announcement that its going to outperform all of its competition. THIS is exciting news.

The Canon EOS R and EOS RP were first generation mirrorless cameras - and far from perfect. It looks like Canon is going to use this revision of the series to lead over Sony E-Mount, Nikon Z6 and Z7 and even the Panasonic S series of full frame mirrorless cameras.

What is the price and release date for the EOS R5? At this point they are still unannounced but one would assume if they're talking about these specs now it will be before the end of 2020.
