Firaxis games snuck in an announcement for Civilization 7 while making another announcement about a change in studio management. Exciting news for fans of the franchise, as the last game, Civilization 6, was released back in 2016. In related strategy game news, Ubisoft is releasing a kind of soft reboot of the long-running Settlers franchise, The Settlers: New Allies. The new game will hit stores in March, while Ubisoft explained delays to their major franchises like Assassin's Creed and the oft-delayed Skull and Bones to the company taking on too many projects at once. In Nintendo news, a new update for Pokémon Scarlet and Violet will arrive later this month and are bringing a number or fixes to various aspects of the game.
