Comic Con 2024: The Boys Spinoff, Mortal Kombat 1 Animalities & DLC, James Gunn DCU Updates & More!

San Diego Comic-Con is in full swing, and IGN has been on the ground keeping up with all the biggest updates from the biggest franchises in entertainment and gaming. Marvel Studios put on their first Thursday night Hall H panel, which turned out to be a surprise screening of Deadpool and Wolverine! Marvel also put on quite the drone show, which teased Fantastic Four and Galactus-related announcements to come when they close out the show on Saturday night. The Boys announced not only a spinoff series set in the 50s - Vought Rising - but casting for season 2 of The Boys: Gen V… Hamish Linklater will be joining the cast as the new dean! Fans in the room for the Jim Lee panel also got an exclusive first look at the teaser trailer for Creature Commandos, the upcoming animated series which will kick off James Gunn’s DCU. And we got a gory, glorious look at new DLC characters coming to the game, including series mainstays Cyrax, Sektor, and Noob Saibot and guest fighters Ghostface, Conan the Barbarian, and the T-1000 from Terminator 2: Judgment Day.
