Disney Plus will be cracking down on password sharing, according to CEO Bob Iger who made the announcement on CNBC, saying that Disney will be launching its first foray into policing password sharing in certain countries and a few markets this summer, which is expected to be rolled out to all subscribers come September. This whole password sharing crackdown trend was set by Netflix last year, with many other subscription services following suit similar to #DisneyPlus. In fact, last year Netflix boasted a significant increase in subscriptions after both cracking down on password sharing and increasing its subscription prices of its tiers.
