With Barry Allen himself Ezra Miller revealing at DC FanDome 2021 a teaser (but not quite a trailer) for The Flash movie coming out in 2022, IGN's DC FanDome hosts discuss the various Easter eggs and comic book influences (Flashpoint, The New 52) as well as whether the movie has too much Batman (both Michael Keaton and Ben Affleck) for a movie that's supposed to be about the Flash. There's even a group shot in the Batcave where there are two Flashes and a Supergirl (Sasha Calle), one of the Flashes is wearing Keaton's spray-painted Batsuits, and they're trying to recruit Keaton's Batman to their multiversal Justice League squad. Even though we didn't get a Flash trailer at DC FanDome 2021, Ezra Miller's sneak peak gave us a look at the new Flash costume, a tease for the Flashpoint story centered around Barry's wayward attempt to save his mother Nora Allen, and plenty of teases for the return of the Tim Burton Batman-verse, from Michael Keaton's Batman to the Burton Batmobile (under a tarp). The 2022 Flash movie looks like it will play around in the DCEU's multiverse to tell a story involving multiple Flashes (could Grant Gustin make a cameo?) and multiple Batman in an alternate reality, so we debate whether they're leaning too much into Batman nostalgia instead of doing something fresh and new focused on the Flash.
