In today's Fix of entertainment news:
Via Variety, we now have confirmation as to who Emilia Clarke is playing in Marvel's Secret Invasion. It's a character we've technically seen before, but it will be Clarke's first appearance in the MCU. The series arrives on Disney+ later this year. In DC news, Jason Momoa is pretty convinced he's staying on as Aquaman in the rebooted DCEU. The franchise-wide reboot is being overseen by James Gunn and Peter Safran, the latter of whom has proced the two Aquaman movies. Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom got pushed from earlier this year to later in the year, but only time will tell if Momoa makes the cut in the new DCEU. Anya Taylor-Joy is already in production on Mad Max: Furiosa, the prequel-esque film centered on the character originated by Charlize Theron in Mad Max: Fury Road. Taylor-Joy described the new film as "an epic," which immediately brings to mind grand adventures like Beowulf or the Odyssey. But can director George Miller top the insane pace and action of Fury Road? Will see next year. And in anime news, Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba will debut in Japan and subtitled on Crunchyroll at the same time. Netflix is making an anime based on Scott Pilgrim...but with pretty much the entire cast of the live-action movie! Yup, Michael Cera, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Chris Evans, Aubrey Plaza, Ellen Wong, Kieran Culkin...they're all back.
