Garrett McNamara has a family of his own and is deeply concerned about the future of our oceans since the daily production of garbage continues to rise. An average family produces 7.5 kilos of waste a day, 40% of which is plastic. This waste destroys the underwater world, which is particularly troublesome for him as a surfer, but even more: clean water and clean air are elixirs of life for every human being. Everyone has to take responsibility for ensuring that the world as we know it today is preserved for future generations. For this reason, Garrett McNamara calls for the reduction of plastic in everyday life so we can all benefit from a healthier sea today and tomorrow.
