The Giant Kelpfish is native to the west coast of North America where it is found from California to southern Baja California. It inhabits rocky areas with kelp and other large seaweeds. They come in a variety of colors: red, green and brown, along with a series of silvery patterns, they can even change colors to blend in with the kelp around them.
