First look with the new Fujifilm X-Pro 3. I'm in New York City for a first look at this camera and it is very impressive. With a rangefinder inspired hybrid view finder and a flip down screen - this is a unique mirrorless camera. The X-Pro 3 is a concept design aimed at traditional or pure photography. The back screen is actually a smaller screen which can switch between film simulation settings or it can act as a submenu - much like you'd see on the top panel of the Fujifilm GFX cameras or the Fujifilm X-H1.
It doesn't have all the video options that the X-T3 does, but this camera is designed for still shooters. Having said that you still get 4k video and 8 bit log. I filmed all of the b-roll footage of the actual camera with an X-Pro 3.
In addition there are 2 new drive modes - an HDR mode and the multiple exposure mode which is now expanded to 9 possible stacked images. HDR is essentially computational imaging in a proper camera. It doesn't require a tripod and you can stitch multiple images together in camera, or save raw files for post processing.
There is also a new film simulation - Neg S. This is based on the Fuji Superia film stock.
You also get in-camera levels adjustments as well as a new setting for controlling the amount of blue in the chrome simulations.
Available in Black as well as a slightly higher priced Dura Silver and Dura Black which are both scratch proof coatings on top of the titanium sections of the body.
