HOT: Liquid Water Lake Discovered on Mars.
Guys, welcome on Mars and meet the Korolev Crater.
It is located near the north pole of the Red Planet.
It is filled with a mound of water ice 37 miles across and nearly 1.2 miles thick. That is comparable in volume to two of the Great Lakes (Lake Erie and Lake Ontario) combined.
So, what’s wrong with that ice? Is it dusty? Did aliens make it yellow (if you know what I mean)? We can’t be that incredibly lucky to have a reservoir with ready-to-drink water on the planet we’re about to colonize. There is likely some fine dust mixed in with the ice, but not enough to change the surface appearance.
