Hello everyone! Welcome to our channel. Are you ready for a brand new “What would happen if…” scenario? In today’s video Smart Banana will take a look at how switching Earth and Mars would influence the balance of our little world and the solar system in general. If you’re curious to learn what havoc it would bring to our peaceful cosmos, please keep watching.

From the climate point of view, Martians would enjoy a striking increase in habitability. At its current position, Earth is located within the Habitable Zone of the solar system. The habitable zone may also be called the "life zone", "comfort zone", "green belt" or "Goldilocks zone". It is the distance from a star where one can have liquid water on the surface of a planet. If a planet is too close to its parent star, it will be too hot and water would have evaporated (take a look at Mercury and Venus). If a planet is too far from a star it is too cold and water is frozen, just like we have it on Mars.
If Mars was to undergo orbital migration it could conceivably move into Earth’s current position and cool down, continue to develop a more stable atmosphere, and melt oceans.

Well, it's actually not bad for Mars. And what about the Earth? Watch the full video to get to know the truth.
