Kris Gasteratos, Founder of CAS and author of 90 Reasons, sits down with Suzette Bishop at Google NY to discuss lab-grown meat, cellular agriculture, and Project CMF.
Short for Cell-based Meat Facility, Project CMF is an ongoing design project by CAS, the Cellular Agriculture Society, conceptualizing what meat production may look like in New York by 2040, where animal cells are farmed instead of animals. Partner scientists of CAS, over a dozen of the leading cell-based meat scientists in the world, were consulted for Project CMF towards its goal in visualizing an ambitious, but realistic depiction of a meat production facility in 20 years.
Project CMF's Producer is CAS, the Cellular Agriculture Society, Lead Concept Designer, Kris Gasteratos, Lead Visual Designer, Mihai Iacubovschi, Logo & Animation by Nisaul Muthoharoh and Henry Mbwille.
