Hiro Sone and Lissa Doumani are the chef-proprietors of two prominent Bay Area restaurants: Terra, in Napa Valley, and Ame, in San Francisco. both perennial recipients of Michelin stars, as well as the SF Chronicle's Top 100 Restaurants list. The husband and wife team have just released their newest book, A Visual Guide to Sushi-Making at Home. Hiro, who is often described as the chef who "does fusion right," straddles the fine dining traditions of his native Japan and Western food; together, the husband-and-wife team are teaching all they have learned about living in America and making sushi at home.
