Chef Daisuke Nakazawa made his public debut in 2011 in the acclaimed documentary “Jiro Dreams of Sushi” as the protege of renowned chef Jiro Ono. Nakazawa’s appearance in this documentary spurred an unlikely series of events that led to NYT 4-starred restaurant Sushi Nakazawa being born.
