Long before Silicon Valley became synonymous with all things digital, New York was a hub for imagining, developing, and selling the technology that ultimately reshaped entertainment, commerce, and daily life. In her talk, Louise Mirrer, President of the New-York Historical Society, describes the museum's current exhibit, "Silicon City - Computer History Made in New York" where she explores New York's forgotten role in the history of computers and how it gave rise to the City's current tech renaissance.
The exhibit runs through April 17th, 2016.
