Renault has finally launched Triber in India. Introduced in four variants, the sub-4 metre Renault Triber is expected to fill the space between Kwid and Duster in the carmaker's portfolio. While the company has presently launched the seven-seater vehicle in only a manual variant, the automatic trim is expected to make its way here by the end of 2019 or early next year.
Powering the new Renault Triber is a 1.0-litre, 3-cylinder, petrol engine that churns out 72 PS and 96 Nm of torque. The engine is offered with a 5-speed manual transmission currently. According to the company, the automatic variant will be launched in India by 2019-end or early 2020.
Features are plenty in the new Triber. It sports triple edge chrome front grille, projector headlamps with LED DRLs, styled flex wheels, roof rails with load-carrying capacity (50kg), front and rear SUV skid plates, electrically adjustable ORVM, body-coloured bumpers and door handles. The cabin features fully digital LED instrument cluster, 8-inch MediaNav Evolution touchscreen system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay compatibility, refrigerated central storage area and lower glove compartment, twin air conditioning system, start/stop button and hands-free card.
Renault Triber has been launched in Metal Mustard, Electric Blue, Fiery Red, Moonlight Silver and Ice Cool White paint schemes. There are Life, Tribe, Surf and Camp seating modes. It also comes with more than 100 different seat-configurations and an industry-first Easyfix seats.
