With stunning vistas, secluded beaches and open sea, Holy Island is perfect for a spot of kayaking; most of the time. Unfortunately for Nicola Hume, punishing gale force winds swept away any hope of a stint on the water, but thankfully, she had the New Nissan X-Trail on hand to find somewhere more suitable: Lake Windermere.

Having loaded the Nissan X-Trail with kayaking gear, Nicola tricked through towns and carved through A-roads on her way to the lake, before putting its e-4ORCE all-wheel drive* system to use through the Pennines. Nissan’s electrified SUV proved to be a suitable road trip companion.
