Nikon D6 explained

Nikon has announced that they will be announcing a flagship D6 camera. Why did they announce that they will announce and why are they making a new DSLR in 2019? Well lets talk about that.

With the Summer Olympics less than a year away - Tokyo 2020 is extremely important for camera companies as the olympics have always been. Nikon are betting on the slow adaption rate of photographers who shoot the olympics to mirrorless systems. Their thinking is that rather than push a mirrorless system with adapted sports lenses - they're going to make a camera specifically for the 2020 Olympics… This is the Nikon D6.

Is it enough to compete with the Sony A9? Or how about the quickly aging Canon EOS-1DX mark II? Its definitely going out on a limb and the summer events could tell a different story.
