Pentax has made a strange move and placed a larger sensor in the most recent addition to its Q series of compact system cameras. The Pentax Q 7 is Pentax's 3rd addition to the series with its headline feature being a 2-million-pixel, 1/1.7-inch CMOS sensor. The Pentax Q10 has a focal length magnification factor of 5.5x, whereas the Pentax Q7 is 4.6x. Changes to the Pentax Q7 autofocus system to improve accuracy in low light shooting and improvements in the start up time means that the Pentax Q7 is a good quality camera that can produce great quality photographs.
