Rosetta's lander, which last week landed successfully on a comet, ran out of battery power on Friday.
The European Space Agency says that contact with the spacecraft was lost at 3:36pm PT on November 14.
It's now in "idle" mode, and further contact won't be possible unless enough sunlight falls on its solar panels to wake it up again.
