Boot the Xpander and Xpander Cross now come with hybrid engine variants, with pricing currently equivalent to the petrol version but set to increase from April.
The hybrid configuration in the Xpander HEV includes a 1.6-liter MIVEC engine with 95 horsepower and 134 Nm of torque, along with an electric motor producing 116 horsepower and 255 Nm of torque, powered by a 1.1 kWh battery. It's equipped with an e-CVT gearbox and front-wheel drive, accelerating from 0-100 km/h in 9.7 seconds with an average fuel consumption of 5.2 liters/100 km.
Both the Xpander HEV and Xpander Cross HEV offer 7 driving modes: charge, electric, normal, wet slippery road, gravel, tarmac, and mud. They also feature active yaw control (AYC) similar to the new Xforce model, with a ground clearance of 205 mm, 17-inch alloy wheels, and 4-wheel disc brakes.
In Thailand, the price of the Mitsubishi Xpander hybrid (HEV) is $25,700 USD, and the Xpander Cross HEV is $26,700 USD. This means the hybrid version is priced the same as the current petrol version, whereas typically hybrid models are more expensive.

All hybrid variants currently available are priced over 100 million Vietnamese dong more than the combustion engine version. Popular models include the Honda CR-V e:HEV RS, Toyota Camry 2.5HV, and Toyota Corolla Altis 1.8 HEV.
